You should always use, in fact u must in the last SP, tts to eliminate the possibility of deadlocks. Alike with the use of select forupdate. If it is still to occur for some wierd reason u throw an error::deadlock and may within that case do a retry to see if the deadlock has resolved. Was that what u wanted to know.
