I would like to be able to give away Live-CD's (Knoppix style) that contain
Axiom and my guessing package, so that anybody can put it into his laptop and

Hi,
This patchlet removes platform-specific makefiles that "obviously"
are not supported by Axiom in its current form. Long term goal is to
stop generating Makefile.${SYS}

I've long errouneously blamed GCL. Detailed investigation turned out

Bill, if you can give it a try on mac, that would be very appreciated.

axiom-developer.org server? Then at least we would have analternate site in case there is a network problem.
I wonder if anybody have thought of putting Axiom in the Google repositories.

next week I'm going to present my guessing package at MathInfo 06. It works
quite well meanwhile :-)
Hower, there is one thing I don't really want to program - in fact, I won't -
although it would be really really useful. Maybe somebody else can do it. I
offer a price, ok?
