Sorry to annoy, but I can't succeed in compiling axiom.
I am trying to do it on an ubuntu64 10.04 system. I followed all
instructions on the download page, namely:
echo 0 /proc/sys/kernel/randomize_va_space
apt-get install m4 libxpm-dev libxt-dev x-dev libx11-dev
apt-get install libxext-dev

I have seen this before.
The problem occurs earlier in the build.
I don't have a 64 bit system available at the moment
so I cannot test it here. Type:
make NOISE=
and send me the output.
