You right. Or, more exactly, the renaming won't appear as such but as
a new file(s):

simultaneously with fully tested code.

possibly not. the error from my SVN client was unclear and
i was guessing. i haven't taken the time to debug it yet.

You should be able to fetch from tla or cvs and always get the latest
version of the system. I don't announce a new release
