A port to xemacs and vi would be superb. I believe Ralf is using xemacs, Thomas and Christian from my department are using vi and TeXmacs. Thomas said he'd switch to emacs if emacs would display output as LaTeX, though. Have you looked at preview-latex? Maybe you can convince it to work toget
