The patch attached in this jira tried to correct the issue by reverting a
change done in a previous patch. That previous patch was incorrect. The patch
attached here doesn't solve the problem instead it introduces a bug that was
there preiously. I have commited the changes nessary to correct the duplicating
namespaces problem. This is the problem addressed by the previous patch.
