Axis message classes to implement org.w3c.dom.Node interface ??

Are there any plans for the Axis implementations of the javax.xml.soap.* interfaces
(e.g., org.axis.message.MessageElement) to implement the org.w3c.dom.Node and other 
DOM interfaces as the Sun RI for JAX-RPC/SAAJ has done?
