For battery low, icon become red i remenber (it did few times ago). It's red
when it's urgent, blue for notifications.
I think it's a sort of must be the blue icon for calendars ;). Maybe for
12.04 since Thunderbird+Lightning is just new in Ubuntu, and it's
integration isn't complete actually.

I agree. This is one thing that miss me the most from my windows years :
when I was using hotmail and MSN, Msn started automatically and notified me
of new mails, even wihout open window. For me too this is very useful.

In my way, it solve the problem expressed by design test (users try to use
home icon to open the Dash), and the problem I actually have (and I think
lot of people have) that the Dash button isn't in the corner as it was in

I don't agree. PPA should be used only to install unstable / unsupported
features. I think the problem is that a lot of very good programs aren't in
the default repository and need to be installed via PPA.
PPA installation shouldn't be too easy for newbies, because it can be risky
for their system
I really (really) think it's a very good idea. Lot of people (geeks and
noobs) uses exclusively webmails (Gmail, Hotmail ...), it would be great to
be notified using notify OSD / indicators / launcher. I really think it's a
great idea.
+1 from me too.

I'm not speaking for Canonical, but I think for Oneiric there will probably
not be this feature. For P(erfect) P(enguin), I'm not sure they will have
time, but I'm sure (really sure) that if someone submit a good patch to
include this (well documented / tested I suppose) they will be happy to u

It's sort of what Gnome Shell actually have. I see this great, with a
suggestion :
Instead of the icon,it should be better displaying the window preview, with
an icons in the corner. This way, there are no big and (in my way) ugly
icons, but little shiny ones. More of that, you easily find différe

I agree with the idea of an ubuntu tour. And I think, as it have been said
before that the chosen app must be fully and early translatable.
I read few days ago in launchpad oneiric blueprints about a new way to
provide translations. Maybe it could help. I can't find the link right now

I agree that... For maximised windows.
I still don't see why using a global menu on non-maximised windows.
Even for consistency it's useless : if the menu bar is in the panel
*just for maximised* windows, every windows will have it's menu just
over their body --> logical for most of end-users. Vertical space gain
is still here. You have less move to do with your mouse (imagine for
menus of a window in the bottom right corner...).
If there is one good reason to have menus of un-maximised windows in
the panel, then explain it to me.

I would like to submit for discussion a problem I found with the
design/ergonomy of the new overlay scrollbars. Maybe it's only me, but
even if I usually adapt myself quickly to almost every design changes,
in this case I can't after one week and a half of intense use.
Here is the problem:

It would appear only when a download (or why not a file transfer too) is
occuring, else it is hidden.

Hello!
About the Alt+F2 function that isn't actually implemented in Natty. I
think it would maybe be a good idea to use something already existing
for that, like synapse or Gnome-Do ? I know it's bigger but it's very
more sexy too !
What do you think about it?

I agree, because evoluton isn't super fast to start, nor to scan your
mails box if your connexion isn't fast.
I think, even if the "service type" isn't the default comportment, it
should be an option.
