I really don't transparency is an issue when there are some under the Menu. Quicklist and notfy are good Exemple. I have never seen an issue when activating the menu. and there also some misunderstanding from us: The transparency is really not a problem because when we activate the menu

IMHO, what we have _is_ visually consistent. Indicators should be opaque over the panel, just like the icons on the unity launcher are opaque over the transparent launcher. I mean, I'm not saying this couldn't be an option; I'm all in for customisation. I just don't think it should be priority...

I agree 100% with you Frederik. when you set the panel to be transparent , the panel menu look very out of place. It would be good or very good if the panel could use the same style as the quicklist's one with the same level of transparency as the panel. __

Unity introduces a new look, but Indicators Menus, which were there before the Dash, are not yet up to date in that respect. Obviously, there is no alpha for indicator menus, no way to set transparency in CCSM for them. I'd like to have control over that as a power user, power user being the bridge
