I have a question. Has anyone else found their ancestors changed their
nationality? On my Grandfather's Ellis Island Manifest he listed his
nationality as Great Britian, but his country of origin as Portugal.

they have a volunteer there who will look up obits. If that fails,
google ask a librarian boulder colorado and you can email them and
they usually will provide an obit for a small fee.

There may not be a connection since there is an age difference, but it could
be through siblings.
I know my family was from Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel but not sure if the
siblings marriages were from the same area.
My 4th grandparents Francisco Jose de Sousa b. abt. 1770 m. Angelica
