still have relatives there. There is a park next to S. Miguel church,

"da" is a contraction for "of the" is is used with feminine words.
"do" is a contraction of "of the" and is used with masculine words.
These are literal translations, so it doesn't always make sense with
surnames. They are just prefixes.

There's a book with the marriages for all of Flores. I don't have Flores
ancestry, but there are others on this list that do and own the book.
Someone might be able to do a look up for you. Once you know the freguesia,
you can order the film and start researching your ancestry.

Jose Silveira de Souza married approximately in 1766 with Maria Clara.
Child had to name Ventura Silveira de Souza who came to Brazil.
Flores Island:
