Tony,
Its a website run by the University of Minho: http://www.neps.ics.uminho.pt/
When you go to the home page, pull down the Genealogias menu and click on
Açores. Then on "ilha do Pico."
You'll see a map. Click on the area of the island you are researching, e.g.
Lajes do Pico.

There are several places you can read about him.

Tony,
I¹ve got another piece of the puzzle that you may (or may not) have. Sorry,
I¹m giving it to you in spurts. I¹m still at work and trying to squeeze in
my searches. But, here goes:
Isabel Francisco do Rosario, born in Lages to Antonio Pereira de Melo and
Agueda de Santo Antonio. Antonio b i
Tony,
The NEPS website shows the marriage date of 17 Sep 1710 in Ribeiras. Maria
Abreu died 30 April 1750. Also, NEPS shows children Agueda b 1719, Francisco
b 1720 and Antonio b 1724. You may already know this, but I didn¹t see it
on your descendants summary.
I have seen these two names before.
Eric,
I am super swamped at work at the moment but I will try and look up these
names a bit later at home.
Thanks for your email!

Nancy,
I don't believe there to be any connection to Candelaria but I will ask my
father if he recalls ever hearing anything about that. He's going back there
this summer to visit. He'll turn 80 this October but his genealogy brain
still works really well. J
Thanks!

Being unable to read Portuguese I am sure I miss a lot and at the moment I am
unable to establish the relationship between Beatrix Macedo (who married Josse

Hi Tony,
My ancestors are from Candelaria and Sao Mateus with just a couple from
Bandeiras, Feitera and Lages.
When I was in Pico looking for my Cardosa family, I was told by a Cardoso from
there that there were 3 major branches of Cardoso on Pico.
I've listed mine just in case there co

I think this .50 Euros is if you are there and they make photocopies
for you. I remember paying a small amount for photocopies they made
for me while I was in Terceira (not certified copies). It is probably
not the same to send to US citizens. Maybe you should have your
relative in Faial order i
