The crib of straw  is called a manjedoura.   Stable is called a palheiro.  The entire stable, Jesus in the manger and Mary Joseph  with the cow, donkey, and sheepis called  a presepio.     This is from my friend who was born in Terceira.  Maybe in another place they are known by other names.
