OK, Cheri . I'm chiming in. :)
I have used Dropbox for quite a while now and I love it! It is safe to use as
everything is encrypted. Dropbox can be used as a backup service or (as I use
it) to keep both of my computers, my iPad, and my iPhone all in sync. I store
ALL of my genealogy files
I don't think so. I think I remember the web site said it's encrypted. I
had Dropbox on my computer at one time, but my computer was having problems,
so I removed it. I need another kind of back up, and since my computer
problem is solved, I was going to try Dropbox again. Hope to watch the
web
Cheri; I'm curious, do you feel there is any issue with putting live people
information into Dropbox? The way everything is hacked nowadays, I hesitate
to put the information on people who are still alive anywhere it might be
accessed by the bad guys out there. Sam in Maz

Put your genealogy backup file in Dropbox. If anything happens, you can
retrieve it from there. You can also access it from your other computer (if
you use a laptop, for example).
I'll have to post the URL when they have it archived for 10 days.

I have 3 backups to my computers. One is an external unit that is always
connected to my main computer and is programmed to back up at a certain time
every evening. I have a smaller, more compact size one that I can carry
with my mini that I update once a week and keep in my bank safety deposit
