Hello,
Here is the link to what is suspected as being the marriage record of
Miguel de Monte and Maria Furtada

My genealogy software program crashed last night. When I was finally able to
get it back up all the data was scrabbled. Luckily I have older back up and
gedcom files. so it's not a total loss.
Since I'm forced to start over I was wondering if anyone knows of a software
program that has the

It would help to know which program you are leaving so you don't get
recommendations for that one. And I'm assuming you are a PC user.
Here's your list and what I know:

Aaron,
Before anyone asks, it's my own file in Excel that I typed up from Canto's
index (amended by Rodrigo Rodrigues (RR)). It goes from 168x (date can't
be read) to 1729 if memory serves me correctly. It's not posted anywhere,
I have to email it to you. Remember, you'll need Excel to read

Legacy does not have a “transcription” field, however there is a field to
record the data from a source so you could do the transcription in that field

Okay, now I remember looking at this record. I have it in my notes, but it
hasn't gotten into my database yet. I think with all the Miguel do Monte
records I've seen the last two weeks that my brain blanked.
Thanks

Margaret,
I think you missed my post a couple of days ago. There was some confusion

out there were two, father and son, and both married women of the same
name. The births from 1758 onward belong to the son and his wife.
Sorry I wasn't clear.

Maria,
If you feel you've outgrown FTM, you may have that same feeling with
RootsMagic (or so says the reviews). So I'd check out TMG and Legacy.
You also may want to check out their User Groups and see if they have any
in your area.
