First, if the surname is in fact Ramos, it is spelled correctly. I note
that there is a "F," presumably representing a middle name. However, when
researching Portuguese or Azorian records, one needs to bear in mind that
in those cultures, males often carried double surnames - that is, the
Ill defer to Cheri. Im looking on a phone. Could be for da Conceico, less
common for men, but seen before. On Flores , Coelho Ramos is seen.

formed the same way as the initial letter in September. Alan F. will need
to send the link to the entire image so others letters can be compare
I think the abbreviation may be Silva. Francisco da Silva Ramos from Sao
Miguel.
The wife is Rosa Gomes from Fayal, parents Antonio M Gomes ,Florinda.

Yes, it says Joseph F. Ramos. As for the other thing, it looks like
Francisco da C. You cut off the record. I'd need to check around for other
C's on the document.
What is this? Besides a marriage. From what state? Where did you find this?
(Ancestry, FamilySearch), etc.

I found a marriage record for my great grandparents, I think. It seems my
great grandfaher's surname was Ramos, not Francis. I am trying to verify
this information. My problem is in trying to decipher the handwriti
