I was told some time ago that Remigio Pereira of the Canadian Tenors fame is a descendant of my ancestor Antonio Pacheco de Rezendes and Anna Pacheco de Medeiros of Maia, Ribeira Grande. He is supposed to descend from their son, Remigio Pacheco, whose descendants took on the surnames Pacheco
