I think JR's guess is right on the mark. The next record is for a Manuel Gonçalves Loureiro according to the marriage index and the scribbled abbreviation for Gonçalves is virtually identical to the one in this record. At least what this penmanship lacked in clarity it made up for in consiste

Hi Barb, I see "Jose" and my best guess is "Roiz" / Rodrigues too. But, I can't venture a guess at his middle name. Roza Ignacia seems clear. The record doesn't give the parents' towns, but refering back to the couple says they are born and baptised "in this same parish" ("nesta misma P.al")

Sorry about that. The groom is Antonio Vierra, taking Beatriz Maria. Line 17 begins with Beatriz Maria, filha de __. Is that Jose Goncalves Rodrigues and Rosa Ignacia? Pretty sure they are stating they are from the same parish, but could you double check it for me? Thanks again! Bar
