I agree with Rosemarie except that I think the groom's mother is Maria da
Conceicao instead of Ursula. At first glance it looks like U.a, but the
"U" closely resembles all the other Ms in the record (the first line is
more faint making it look like a U). Also, the the groom's mother and both
You are welcome, Sandra. I looked on the NEPS site andn can't find a Manuel
Costa nor a Manuel Costa Vieira married to an Ursula Conceicao in Sao

Hello.
Does anyone know or have a good guess as to what age "children" were able
to act as godparents in a baptism in the 1600s and up?
Thank you.

The name Conceicao is sometimes spread out into 3 distinct words by the
Priests and it is very confusing. Con cei cao and if it's on two different
lines it really is confusing.

I just found out I am J1c1b1 for my maternal haplogroup. I also have a very
small amount of Iberian. From what I could tell J1c dates back to Mecca and
the middle east.

In the top record on the right page, line 12 the groom's name is listed. I
am not familiar with the abbreviation used here. Is it Martins?
