A word of advice. The name Ascencao is clear. But I have yet to see that
name as first name, at least for older records. So my suggestion is to also
keep in mind that her name might be Maria da Ascencao.

Yes, Glz does stand for Gonsalves. I was just trying to point out that
sometimes it may look like Gtz, but is in fact GLZ. It was a short form
style the priests used, as far as I can tell.

"ç"(cedilha) and with the sc . This name is relate to Our Lady`s
Assumption. In Portuguese it is either Ascenção or Assunção .
