Bottom right page, Maria Luis .. Does it say she died on the 28th of Feb
1728? Also, spouse’s name and I don’t see any mention of her parents?
Thanks everyone,

Cheri,
The Ecclesiastic Auditor is confirming that the 1860 book contains only 3
pages and one [1] marriage. That's it. The last page, sign off says the
book is composed by 8 pages. He's counting each side as one page.

Foral originates from the latin word Forum. It's usually a privileged
place or building/administration that operates independently by Carta
Regia, King's letter. Over time Town squares where there was a podium
erected was considered a Foral.

I already figured she either worked there or Marianna Augusta was a midwife
or had some medical knowledge or herbal remedies.
It's not Farol. I've seen it in a few records. It's Foral. Unless the
priest can't spell. I'll wait for someone familiar with R. Quente to answer.

I notice that Roza and her mother were both maids. Her father was a sailor.
Since she was 15 years old, perhaps she worked in Marianna Augustas’ house
and died there. It was common practice for a single young and single house
maid to live in the house of their employer. They still do this in

I believe there are two separate notes and that the bottom one is talking about

I've seen it a couple of times now. I wonder if it was a street, but the
name Marianna Augusta is throwing me off.

Aloha Cheri,
Thank you for posting this information. I had come across it before but
could not remember where or how to get back there.
I entered "Hansa" in the search engine and got a list of all the passengers
who came to Hawaii on that steam ship. There was my

Is it saying that the marriage book of 1860 is 3 pages and contains a
missing marriage? It's saying something about a copy.
Thanks in advance, C
Thank you all for this valuable information. I'm going to give this a try
to see if I can get any details on my maternal grandmother. Unfortunately
she was born after the cutoff when all registeries were moved from the
churches to the Government. My mother's memory isn't as good as I would
like it
