hola eliseo, si el apellido proviene de las azores, islas portuguesas, mi 
tri tatarabuelo llego a la baja california sur en el año de 1816 y se 
llamaba francisco DE SOUSA DA SILVA que en mexico se traducio a SOSA Y 
SILVA, asi que todos los sosa y silva que existen en mexico son tus 
parientes de alguna forma,

aqui un poco de informacion:   Manuel deSousa daSilva married Catharina 
Rosa deBettencourt on 29 May 1797. His parents are listed as: Antonio Jose 
Espinola and Dona Isabel Clara. Her parents are Joao Correa Picanco and 
Dona Leonor deBettencourt. Manuel and Catharina had: Francisco deSousa 
daSilva, born 11 Apr 1813.
