I am looking for information on the family of Francisco Silveria born about
1840 in Portugal (immigrated to Texas around 1857.) I have very limited
information on him.

I know he had a nephew named Manoel Baptista and a niece named Luduvina
Baptista that possibly lived in Lisbon. He also had a niece named Maria
Amalia (surname unknown) and a nephew named Belchior (surname unknown) that
lived in Portugal. Based on a letter, I believe he had a brother-in-law
named Manoel Maria (surname unknown). The letter by Manoel Maria refers to
Francisco as cunhado, which I think means brother-in-law. It seems that
Francisco was the only one of his family to move from Portugal to Texas. I
know that he was in Lisbon, Portugal visiting his family in 1909 based on a
letter I have. I also have photos of various Portuguese relatives but I am
unable to identify the people in the photos.

Also, has anyone with Portuguese ancestry taken the ancestry.com DNA test?
The results my family received showed "uncertain" and there are no matches
with anyone from Portugal, so it is of no use to us.
