This is my first attempt at translating Portuguese records and would appreciate assistance in translating my grandfather, Jose de Mello's baptism record. I had difficulty reading some of the words as well as translating.

Based on the Hawaii Cemetery Index, my grandfather Jose de Mello was born 11/3/1878. The passport record (May 7, 1881) listed Ponta Delgada- Sao Sebastio. I've searched baptism records for 1877 and 1878 for Sao Sebastio and haven't had any luck. Has anyone seen a baptism record for him by

[AZORES-Genealogy] Help -need info from Robert DeMello's book

I'm having limited success finding information on my grandfather, Jose De Mello. Family records shows he emigrated to Hawaii from Azores. Based on the 1930 census for Honolulu, he was 50 yrs old (which then calculates to 1880 birth year) and emigrated 1882 around 2 years old. My
