[AZORES-Genealogy] Death record info - is the mother still living if it says she is single and a domestic?

I am searching for a date of death. On one of her children's marriage record it it gives her name, that she is single, and a domestic. Would I be correct in assuming that this grandmother is still living when this child was married? It would help me find a death date for this mother. Thank you.
