Hi Cheri, Thanks for that find - I'll look further into it and see what I can find. It's been difficult, as I'm having a hard time finding any vital records later on in New Bedford (or Massachusetts) for any of them passed a certain point, so I'm wondering what happened to them after that.

Elaine, They went to meet the brother of Claudina, Francisco Silva, 317 S. Front St, New Bedford? It looks like baby Francisco died on the way. I searched Ancestry's Passenger arrivals with this to call it up (It's against Ancestry's Terms of Service for me to post the image): Cheri Mello

Yeah, he was in the right month, with the right ship, just off on the year. It happens. If all the family members are correct, then it's him. You can search for the arrival in America a couple of weeks after. Although I just start looking in America on the next day, as I don't want to miss them.
