[AZORES-Genealogy] Interesting baptism - people from Holland in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel island

The following record was called to my attention. Joao on the right http://goo.gl/NmjJmQ I swear it's giving a FULL name for the baby. I'm confused as to who is 25 years old. I'm kinda thinking this may be an adult baptism and Joao is not a baby. Thoughts? Cheri Mello Listowner, Azores-Gen Resea

Cheri, It's the baptism of Joao de Freitas, adult, 25 years old, (more or less) and previosly of the Protestant faith who wished to become a catholic. On Sun, Dec 14, 2014 at 1:14 PM, Cheri Mello wrote: > > The following record was called to my attention. > Joao on the right > http://goo.gl/Nm

I saw the Protestant in there. That's why I was kinda thinking it was an adult baptism and not a baby. Maybe he was going to marry a Portuguese woman. I saw the Amsterdam, Holland part. I was thinking mom may be Portuguese. I'm not familiar with that first name for her and don't know what it is
