I recently discovered more of my Azorean ancestors going back to the 1680s
in Angra do Heroísmo. However, I'm having trouble deciphering the
information next to my 8th great-grandmother's name. Can anyone make it
out? The record is on the following page, bottom right.
I wonder if it's widow(er) misspelled. Viuvo/viuva. Not even close. But
then the name Joao follows. Somebody help!

Eliseu, viuva was the only word that made sense there. I did not know the
