This morning Dick Eastman wrote about the Hack of information at my Heritage. While the idea of a hack sounds bad, the only data taken was email addresses and hashed passwords. ( for example if your password was "newpassword" all they may have gotten was "n********rd" ) My heritage is still recommending to change your password.
This is a quote from My Heritage: “Although no passwords leaked but only hashed versions of the passwords, we encouraged our users to change their password, and many already did so. However, to maximize the security of our users, we have started the process of expiring ALL user passwords on MyHeritage.” You can read the Dick Eastman article here: https://blog.eogn.com/2018/06/06/comment-about-the-recent-cybersecurity-incident-at-myheritage/ Rick -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Azores Genealogy" group.
