What I could decipher is after the name Madelenna, it says the name "Anjos" in
very light ink, and then it says, " e pela paterna". Here is where the priest
is starting to cite the paternal grandparents. It's not a surname.

Hi Walter,
It looks like Antos, the abbreviation that is; the tos is small and higher up
than the An. I have no idea what it is but Antunes comes to mind.
