JR,
If you can visit an LDS Family History Center in your area, you can access
a number of digital files from their computers that are not publicly
available. Some of these resources are downloadable, and depending on the
resource, the staff at the Center may allow you to download files to you

Hello Doreen,
This may be the other couple (the bride's parents) if what I read as
Beatriz Coelho is actually Couto. It is faint and hard do read but I

S. Roque of Altares marrying Beatriz Couto, widow of Andre ??? nat
Yes, I was amazed that some indexed the whole of Terceira and so link
originally posted by Cheri.
As to the link you provided, I cannot access the digital files even after
signing up and logging in to Family Search. Perhaps this is only available
in the USA?
Many thanks for the information.
Sorry, JR!
I read and answered the question in your post in a rush, so I misread it

I have been following this post to some extent. In my village of research,
I have a few marriages that are missing. But you can piece them together
despite the missing marriage date, and even pinpoint the marriage date to

I found a Manuel Vieira Lourenco marrying an Isabel Feia in 1696. This
seems to match the names and it is in Altares where the groom was born.

Hi Doreen,
I did a quick search-all of the Genealogias de Terceira and I found this
for a sibling (vol 3, page 254) :
I found a couple more entries that might also be siblings, but I didn't
find an entry that would match "Antonio Vieira Lourenco". The search
function can be hit and miss,
