I thought you wanted Jose, son of Jose Coelho Machado and Isabel de Jesus which does not have margin note. The record with the margin note is for Jose, natural son of Catarina Ignacia, single. The margin note says Jose is legitimized by the marriage of Jose Lourenço Caetano and Catarina

Excellent Lee, you have found the Maria do Carmo grandparents. She has not godparents because was baptized at home. It's not the rule, but it's frequent. There is no mariage of José Simois and Maria Jaquina in S. Mateus. Not also in the 4 parishes of Angra. You need to find the Josefa Joaquina
