Thanks JR, Shortening his name by just one letter is silly, but it seems to be the pattern in Sao Jorge Church. I looked in the obits and never found any other family members-including his wife Fransisca Manuel. I think she must have died somewhere else. I was hoping this obit for Joao Vaz Teixeira was going to reveal his age at death, so I am not sure how old he is. Thanks again. Neil Teixeira
