I want to thank everyone for their input on our trip to Europe, specifically, the Azores. Have made all our hotel reservations. Don't know if I will do any research or not while there but it will be fun to see where my grandmother's family lived--I can't say came from as they came from Naples and mainland Portugal although their children were born in the Azores. Sometimes I am envious of those whose lines go back many years in the Azores and mine go back to about 1850.
Find it interesting that to fly from Lisbon/Terceira/Ponta Delgada/Lisbon the total fare is $915 and to fly from London/Edinburgh/Dublin/London the total fare is $369! Have not made the Azores flight reservations yet but I am guessing they are not going to come down anytime soon.
