Married in Siskiyou County about 1897….
Philomena Delphina ‘Minnie’ FRANKLIN (b. 26 Sep 1897 in Siskiyou
County, CA)
In the 1910-1930 Census, the VICTORINE’s lived near Princeton, COLUSA
County, CA
Minnie is the sister of my grandfather, Manuel FRANKLIN, Jr.
My purpose is to determine what their father, Manuel FRANKLIN, Sr's.
name was before he immigrated from the Azores in abt 1860; and what
island he came from.
Minnie Victorine’s obit in 1941 states: “Mrs. VICTORINE, a native of
Siskiyou County, is survived by five children; Anthony of Watsonville,
and John
and Frank VICTORINE of Princeton; Mrs. Rosie SALVADOR of Colusa and
Mrs. Josephine FONSECA of Princeton. Three brothers, John, Manuel and
Joseph FRANKLIN, and one sister, Mrs. Annie DESOZA, all of Siskiyou
county, also survive.” (FERRIERA and CABRAL and married names of her
deceased daughters)
I done much research on Manuel Franklin, Sr. ‘s life in California
and am willing to share.
