Oh my goodness! That was my mother's Doctor in Ponta Delgada! She always spoke
so highly of him. Sorry I don't know much about him, except he was Jewish,
maybe from Germany? I seem to remember my mom saying that the Bensaude family
helped him come to Ponta Delgada to escape persecution. Good
would like any information re DR M Friedmann ( surgeon) and wife Erna
moved there mid 1930,s Ponta Delgado ,San Miguel
subsequently moved to Lisbon
