Hi Eddie, In my opinion unless you want to spend quite a bit of time getting the artiga # and going to the finance office of the concelho to see what records exist....it might be easier just to hire a lawyer on Sao Jorge to do the research for you. It's very tricky with titles and records of sale....took us a year to get a cleared title and I know the same is true for some other people who have bought over there. Hi, I wonder if anyone one knows of anywhere to find records of home sales on Sao Jorge? Did people who left the island sell the house or just abandon them? My parents just got back fro Sao Jorge and think they found the house my great grandfather lived in based on talking to the current owner and other from the area. I just didn't know if are any home records.
