Subject: Backup actually completes, but says 'aborted'
Date: Sun, 04 Feb 2007 12:24:11 -0800

I'm a little confused by this one. Google didn't provide anything
useful...

I have a storage server running Ubuntu and a 1.8 TB RAID 5 array.
BackupPC is set to back up several machines to that array.

Backing up the local machine (the storage server) completes without
errors using tar.

Backing up the two remote machines via rsync fails every time.
In the web interface, both machines say "backup failed"

In the log for both machines, it appears that every file is backed up,
however the last few lines of the log look like this:

  same 644 1000/1000 3204 car/www/todo
  same 644 1000/1000 2108102 car/xps.aac
Done: 44945 files, 22116729277 bytes
Backup aborted ()

I never abort the backup, and the error is the same no matter if I manually
start a full backup or let BackupPC follow it's schedule.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
