I was able to get this crazy issue sorted out. I went to synaptic,
uninstalled backuppc, apache2.2-common, and apache (complete removal for
all). Afterward, I reinstalled backuppc: apt-get install backuppc. I can't
remember if I tweaked anything else inbetween,t hough.

I'm using the web interface with localhost and tar as the Xfer method.
Let's say I have these folders:
/home/workstation/Desktop
/home/workstation/Documents
/office
/research
And I want all of those to be listed in /.
So, when I look at the virtual tree in the web interface it has...

Hey, folks.
I've come back into the arena of using BackupPC.
At the moment, one of my main goals is to rsync the pool and whatever else
to an offsite storage area.
I'm a student with access to a server for storing about 20GB of stuff on. I
can use the intranet and rsync to move stuff onto it.
