Hi Les & David, I also run BackupPC with VISUDO and also get the 512 error on localhost when backing up home. I tried switching it to rsync, but could not get it to work that way. Since then, my hard drive mounted at /var/lib/backuppc has failed. I thought that it's failing may have be part of

Hi, I set up BackupPC on an old Linux box I had (with a clean OS install) and got it backing up itself fine.  I then added my laptop to the pool and it seemed to back that up ok, but when I checked the backup I found that it had actually backed the local backup server again, instead of the remot
