I changed the share to the
user's directory, and now backuppc errors out during app data. I'm sure
the files are open..
Is there a way to ignore these errors and just keep backing up?

If you had space somewhere and it is only a few old machines...it
wouldnt be too much trouble to just restore them someplace and then
let the new server back up the restored directories...that way you get
to keep the pooling advantages.
