Why do I get this reported during an archive process using backuppc_tarcreate?
I've spot checked some of the files and the file size it reports it being
truncated to is the actual size of the file on the filesystem.
BackupPC_tarCreate -t -b 60 -w 4194304 -h $HN -n -1 -s \* .
is the command I
l .pst files, which are
Outlook.pst,
archive.pst, and
some-gobbledygook-that-contains-the-email-address.pst.
Maybe I should see if pfbackup can be configured to drop the backups in
a
different folder. Then I can exclude the folder with the active
copies
altogether.

Best option is probably to exclude .pst files from your backups.

Hello,
According to my manpage, I'm running BackupPC version 3.0.0, released

My understanding is that if BackupPC encounters any locked .pst files,

Ahh... got it. I check the home page now and then for updates but it still
only shows the beta0 update so I've never gone any further to check the file
repository. Completely missed that one. Guess I'll just use the sourceforge
page from now on :)
thanks, all updated and ready to test!

that should be applied? I will check my copy for it and make sure it's in
there.
thanks

Was running low on space so I took the plunge and compressed my pool. I've now
got 5 hosts that will no longer backup and I'm not sure where it's failing.
The NewFileList file is created and remains zero bytes and nothing is backed
up, it just retries day after day. Assuming it shuts down at
I want to convert a host from rsync to rsyncd in order to test speed
differences between the two. My concern though is that currently with rsync my
share name is /, which don't believe is valid using rsyncd. If I do this, will
it duplicate all of the data for this server since they are differe
