What are the advantages of using rsync instead of smb on windows? Is it
significantly faster? I have one machine that takes over 12 hours for a full
backup so if I can chop a few hours off that with rsync it would be great.

Is there a built in way to have backuppc stop itself automatically once it's
done with all the queued up backups or will I have to write a script to
check whether or not it's done? I need to do this so I can automate dd'ing
