I suspect that this could happens when there are lots of file to be saved.
In my case, if I run backuppc manually through CLI (with -v option), I noticed
failures in folder with lots of email:

I need to use a Windows server (with OS Windows Server Storage) as pool, so I
was wondering if samba can works (I have BackupPC on a different machine, but
with limited disk size)is it possible to configure BackupPC to use samba share
as data pool?
Comparing to NFS .. which is better?
to QNAP daemon (NFS, rsyncd, samba).

I have an host with several share.
I have troubles in completing backup for a specifc share.
I configured one share for each /home partition (/home, /home2, /home3 and so
on)
/home is around 60 GB, while /home3 and /home4 (for example) are bigger, 130 GB.
I tried with manual cli backup,
communication for the
failing share.
It's impossible to determine reason.
Could be misconfiguration on BackupPC side, but it could also be a
problem on client, depending on transfer method.
