one machine has 246GB and the backup has been running almost 2 days.
the other machine is 300gb over wifi and after few hours it gets stuck one one

the count is stuck

as usual security issue.
I forgot that ssh is connecitng to root , but it is using the backuppc user
to the pub key needs to be in its home direcotry.
Once the pub key was created the backup runs fine.
For for everybody else:
the script is connecting to the root used on the remote machine that
at full backup the backuppc tries to run
/usr/bin/ssh -p21130 -q -x -l root vip-consult.co.uk
/usr/bin/rsync --server --sender --numeric-ids --perms --owner --group -D
--links
--hard-links --times --block-size=2048 --recursive --ignore-times . /etc/
and it just times out
If run the command
Ha , worked :)
never occurred to me that the bin will not create those automatically.
I will create the other folders manually and will report for any issues.

sudo -u backuppc mkdir /home/backup/cpool

Actually as part of the troubleshooting I changed the user now to backuppc,
but it didn;t make any difference:
webserver running under backuppc
backuppc started under backuppc
root@vipo:~# ps aux | grep -i fcg
backuppc 14620 0.0 0.0 10472 644 ?Ss 14:50 0:00
/usr/local/sbin/fcgi
The user is www-data , folders and files are owner by the same user and for the
sake of testing it I changed all folders and files to 777.
If I create the ln under www-data it works fine.
The /home is mounted crypted hdd

Hi,
I have BackupPC setup and working with Windows and Linux Hosts. I now
want to get the backups offsite and want to setup an archive host. I
want this to be on the same server as the BackupPC server, is this
possible?
Also, I am slightly confused as to the setup. I have created the
HOSTNA
mysql directories on other servers, just not on the
new Centos 5 servers. Any insight into this problem is greatly
appreciated. As you know shutting down mysql to do backups isn't a very
good option. Thanks in advance!

There is something I don't understand in the setting of parameters of
BackUp PC
- The function 'Backup File Exclude' is never taken into account
- The use of a ID wildcard respecting the upper case doesn't
change anything. It appears as if no instruction was given.

Thank you for the answer, I think that I would make the test the next
week I would hold you with the informed one
