Thanks - I haven't tested this but I assumed that compression would be much slower. As all the files are MP3s (already compressed), bzip2 is unlikely to be able to compress it much further. I'm currently using a setting of 5, bzip2. Thanks for the replies, I'll probably just leave the compression

Hi, I am using compression to backup all my shares on all my pcs. There is however one share with my music collection on it - I would like this share only to be backed up uncompressed. Is this possible? What do I need to do? Thanks! Mark. --
