For backuppc, you might just consider using nexenta as it is essentially debian with the opensolaris kernel. You can admin it with standard gnu utilities like a linux system but get ZFS couresy of the opensolaris kernel. Also, the ubuntu 8.04 deb installs on nexenta core 2.x. Basically just inst

Greetings, I'm contemplating running BackupPC on Solaris 10. Is this advisable? If so are there any packages available, or am I installing manually? I saw in the documentation that it's a manual install. I guess I'm hoping that someone has built packages. Is running on Solaris a good or bad id
