Removing the directories worked exactly as I wanted!
The reason I wanted to start fresh is that I completely changed the
directories that I wanted to back up... I started with a small test
directory and now want to remove the test and start backup #0 fresh wit

There is a script that automates this and provides some additional
functionality, including updating the list of backups stored at
$TopDir/pc/$client/backups

To have the space reclaimed you'll need to run

I have been using BackupPC for a while and am very happy with it, once I
finally figured out the idiosyncrasies that were driving me nuts! ;)
One thing that I haven't been able to figure out is how to purge all backups
for a host to start fresh with a new full backup #0.
Can I simply delete
