All,
I am having a major issue with BackupPC. I first tried using
BackupFilesOnly to restrict backups to just the C:\Users directory, but I
needed to exclude some files and since the first overrides the second I
decided to try just using the ExcludeFiles directive. I am using the

Hi,
The IRC channel seems to be pretty much dead so I'm turning towards the

Hi all,
I didn't find any information on how filenames and folders that have a space
in their name should be added to Xfer/BackupFilesExclude.
Can I just add eg "/home/Virtual VMs" (including the "") in the field?

some numbers to drop) in the web admin for the machine's latest backup.
In the latest xfer log for this morning, just a SMALL sampling:

SMB to do backups (xp machines mostly):

I tried excluding files and does not seem to be working :

You can run:
iftop -n
on either machine to monitor the network traffic. That will tell you if
