Hi Ferdinando,
Good news!
I found the problem.
The "configure" script didn't found file, so no zlib support.
I was confused because in

Hello,
I've moved the doc directory out of the source tree into a new docs module
under the Bacula CVS. It will probably take at least 5 hours to propagate to
the public CVS, but developers can access it immediately.
If you are running out of the current CVS, you should do the following:

Hello,
I suspect that it is not a question of bconsole.exe or bacula-fd.exe doing
anything, but rather any time a Windows console application is started, the
OS wants to run the tray application for that console. If it is not a local
graphical screen, but some tty console for doing maintenance,
I have the following described job in my bacula-dir.conf file:
Job {

Type = Admin
Messages = Standard
Priority = 10
Schedule = "WeeklyPrune"
Storage = File

What are all the
possible volume status codes and what do they mean? In particular, what
does the "used" and "recycle" status mean? The only ones the documentation
mentions are "Full", "Append" and "Purged".

Hi
Can anyone shed light on the following restore errors:-

File size of restored file /tmp/bacula-restores/usr/home/dns/logs/dns_query.log

No files get listed (no output). It seems to have stalled.
I also tried to restore an old backup of the database.
That is, I dropped the current database, re-created it, and restored a
mysqldump version.
However, when I try your steps, it still freezes and I get no output.

Graham,
I would be most interested to know if you have a "non-personal" reason

Hey guys,
i'm pretty new to the bacula, but very happy the way it works and behave.
I was reading yesterday on Disaster recovery and have a question:
- let's say my building collapsed
- all i have on me is a few tapes with latest FULL backup of my servers
and some incremental ones.
Now i have to

I am running the backports pkg for MySQL 4. I'm backup up somewhere
around 70-80 servers. Most all with web content. Some servers have
anywhere from 100G to 500G of content on them. Not exactly sure what it
causing the slow down, but it is a pain when full backups come around.

On Fri,
All,
When we initially started testing restores on Bacula a few months back,
we ran into a problem that has been mentioned on this mailing list a few
times - issues restoring certain files to windows machines that
participate in Active Directory.
After spending a fair bit of time on this, and ex

Does anyone have experience with large backups off of many servers
(specifically web servers)? I'm trying to see why it is that backups
slow down significantly after running for awhile. This is eventually
leading to bacula hanging.
Should I switch databases?
Not quite sure where the bottleneck

Ah, that would explain it!
We get this logged far more frequently on our Citrix server - I'd
assumed it was a time

Yes please upgrade -- be careful, I believe there is a database upgrade.
OK , I read the documentation on upgrading , I have however used the

Well I'm on 1.32d so I'm further back and thinking the same thing.
The basic question, which I haven't seen a response for, is are there a
set of database update scripts included with each release. So you run
each one to get from your version to the latest. Or do you have to dig
out each release w

Are there any files listed then?
